Adam E. Lahr, 88, died Nov. 10 at Mountain View, a nursing and rehabilitation center, Coal Twp.
He was born March 5, 1928, in Jordan Twp., a son of the late Isaac and Emma Jane Goodman Lahr.
He attended Dubendorf School, Jordan Twp.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was employed as a truck driver for more than 30 years at Meckley’s Limestone Products, Herndon.
He was preceded in death by four sisters: Jennie Houser, Bertha Rebuck, Nora Hollenbach and Ida Bidding; and three brothers: Charles Lahr, Harry Lahr and infant brother, Ralph Lahr.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Maus Lahr; a son, Rick Lahr of Herndon; a daughter, Lisa Wren of Herndon; four grandchildren; and a sister, Katie Paul of Millersburg.
Services were held Nov. 15 at Grace Community Church, Herndon.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Northumberland Memorial Park Cemetery, Stonington.
