Jimmie D. Elliott, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.
Mr. Elliott was born in Horry County, a son of the late Bernie and Marie Elliott. He was a 1957 graduate of Green Sea High School. Mr. Elliott was a member of Zoan United Methodist Church where he served as Church Financial Secretary. He was employed with the US Department of Agriculture for 18 years and was self employed as a hog farmer for 30 years. Mr. Elliott was a US Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Genice F. Elliott of Galivants Ferry, SC; one son, Floyd D. Elliott (Cheryl) of Boiling Springs, SC; one granddaughter, Addison Marie Elliott of Boiling Springs, SC; four brothers, Glen Elliott (Miranda) of Galivants Ferry, SC, Terry Elliott (Elaine) of Nebo, NC, Donald Elliott (Joyce) of Ridgeway, SC, and Rev. Gene Elliott (Anne) of Johnson City, TN; one sister, Donna Johnson (Lynn) of Galivants Ferry, SC; and two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Stone (David) and Clarice Roberts (E. P. ) all of Conway, SC.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at Zoan United Methodist Church with Rev. John Watts, Mr. Glen Elliott, and Rev. Gene Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
