Dies at His Home in Carlos
Mr August Kaefer Passes Away
An esteemed citizen of Carlos Junction, died at his home on Tuesday evening at 6:45 o’clock of cancer of the stomach The death of Mr Kaefer ended a period of suffering which the deceased had endured for two years. Mr. Kaefer was a native of Ocean Mine and followed coal mining as his life occupation. He lost his wife five years ago and since that time has been living with his children. The surviving relatives are; brothers, Charles and Henry Kaefer, sisters. Mrs John Aspinall, Mrs. George Walters and Miss Dolly Kaefer, two sons. Russell and Raymond, and two daughters, Florence Kaefer and Mrs Bertha Strictland, all of Ocean and Carlos Junction, except Mrs John Aspinall, resides at Frostburg. The funeral will occur Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence. The service will be in charge of Rev Stanley Jewel, pastor of Barton Presbyterian church. Interment will be in the Koontz graveyard, above Lord.
