ev. Jessie M. Reed Sr., age 91, of Oliver Springs, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Renaissance Nursing Home. Jessie was born September 12, 1925 in Knoxville.



Mr. Reed was a former pastor of several local churches, and a member of Big Mountain Baptist Church. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.



Mr. Reed is preceded in death by his wife Juanita Reed, by four children; Billy Ray Reed, Sharon D. Reed, Carl R. Reed, and Jessie (J.M.) Reed Jr. and a daughter-in-law Diane Reed, by a brother; Henry Reed, and by sister; Ellie and Gurtha.



Jessie is survived by children, Judy Seal and husband, Rev. Kenny Seal of Knoxville, Anita Duncan, and husband Rev. Harold Duncan of Coalfield, Bonnie Robinson, and husband Sterling of Knoxville, Mike Reed, and wife Nancy of Harriman, Brenda Morrison, and husband Bill of Blount County, Joe Reed of Oliver Springs, Tammie Coffey, and husband Mike of Oliver Springs, he is also survived by 33 Grandchildren, 35 Great-Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.



The family will receive friends Thursday November 17, 2016 between the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Premier Sharp Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8:00P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kenny Seal and Rev. Ronnie Arwood officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday November 18, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
