Lois Adkins Lindsey

1918-2016

Lois Lindsey, 98, of Pensacola passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 11, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, the Reverend Warren L. Lindsey, her parents Albert Adkins and Laura Strickland; her brothers Coy Adkins, Harry Adkins and Hubert Adkins; her sisters Carmen Wentworth, Dorothy Pence, Floy Austin and Frances Adkins. She is survived by daughters, Marianne Banks and Janice (Ken) Hedrick. The family wishes to thank the following for their excellent and compassionate care: West Florida Hospital, Life Care Center, Jennifer Prince, Nurse Practitioner with Comprehensive Care, LPN Mark Eisenburg , Covenant Hospice, and especially Darrel Vallroth all of whom made in-home visits to care for Mrs. Lindsey. Also many thanks to the sitters Barbara Lowery, Bonnie Mattingly and Daniel Retinger, who came to the home to stay so that Mrs. Lindsey's caregivers could have some outside time. In lieu of flowers or if you wish to give a memorial, please donate to Covenant Hospice or your favorite charity . Online condolences can be made at bayviewfisher-pouchapel.com. Visitation will be held Saturday November 19, 2016 from 10:30am-11:30am at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. The funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Peace on the grounds of Bayview Memorial Park at 11:30am.
