BARTON — Two Georges Creek men died in a two-vehicle, predawn crash on state Route 36 Sunday.

The Allegany County Sheriff's Office said Daniel Shockey, 28, of Lonaconing, and Justin Todd Keller, 27, of Westernport, were pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:50 a.m. accident in the vicinity of D&D Motors.

The road was closed four hours while a crash reconstructionist from the sheriff's office and a member of the Cumberland Police Department crash reconstruction team worked to determine why the 1994 Ford truck driven by Shockey and the 2008 Dodge SUV operated by Keller collided.
