Mrs. Maxine Kleckley Jordan, age 79, passed away on Tuesday evening, November 15, 2016, at Willson Hospice House in Albany.

Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Friday, November 18, at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, between the hours of 12:30 and 2:00 PM. A private interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

A native of Americus, she was born June 9, 1937, a daughter of the late Fred Kleckley and Rubye Martin Kleckley. Mrs. Jordan was a retired educator, having taught at Riverview Academy. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Robert W. Jordan, Sr. of Albany; one son, Wayne Jordan (Mary-Kaye) of Madison, AL; two grandchildren, Mallory Jordan of Birmingham, AL and Colson Jordan of Huntsville, AL; one sister, Gerrie McGree (Jim) of Port Charlotte, FL; one sister-in-law, Sharon Kleckley of Suwannee, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her daughter, Mary Lynn Jordan; and by her brother, Fred Kleckley.
