Gladys Eileen Adams age 79, of New Matamoras, OH was called home Sunday November 13, 2016 at Arbors of Woodsfield, OH.
She was born April 19, 1937, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Bessie Williamson Salisbury.
She was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church and Sardis Community Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven R. Adams; three brothers, Edward, Leon and Lester Salisbury; three sisters, Betty Ritchie, Cleo “Toots” Salisbury and Helen Ensinger.
Survivors include a son, Steven L. (Christine) Adams of Fly, OH; two daughters, Debbie (Mike) Tenley of Sardis, Cathy (Mike) Schoonover of Sardis, OH,; three step sons, Billy (Linda) Adams of Winchester, VA, Bob (Sue) Adams of Sistersville, WV, Ron (Diana) Adams of CA; two brothers, Lawrence “Jake” Salisbury of Fly, OH, Clarence “Bud” (June) Salisbury of New Matamoras, OH and one sister, Ruth Rush of New Martinsville, WV; eight grandchildren, Michael (Janice) Tenley, Matthew Tenley, Amanda (Matt) Trader, Jessica Schoonover, Rexie (Becky) Adams, Brenda (Richard) Ridgeway, Brian (Amy) Adams, Jerry Adams; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Grisell Funeral Home 37234 Mound St. Sardis, OH. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at Gravel Hill Baptist Church 33125 State Route 800, Fly OH, with Pastor Jim Dickey and Pastor Herb Alexander officiating.
Interment will follow in Mehrley Cemetery, Fly, OH.
