Sherry was a homemaker. Jerry worked as a mechanical engineer at Sverdrup Corporation, Jacobs Engineering.
Sherry was a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was very involved in church activities and the Ladies Aide-Hannah Circle.
Jerry died unexpectedly at Mark Twain Lake in 2003 at the a of 72.
Sherry lived until 2016, although she was in declining health for the final 4 years of her life. She was cared for by her children and Laurie Watts during that time.
Sherry died at Alton Memorial Hospital 3 days before what would have been her 86th birthday.
She was survived by 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law; 2 sons and 2 daughters-in-law; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 brother-in-law, Donald V. McClure of Alton, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Sherry was preceded in death by her mother and father; 3 sisters, Virginia Seehausen, Muriel Sparks and Ethel "Pet" Bode; and 1 brother, Elton Hall.
Visitation was held from 3 p.m. until the beginning of funeral services at 7 p.m. on 18 Nov 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Sherry was buried next to her husband, Jerry, at 9 a.m. the following morning. Marks Mortuary in Wood River was in charge of arrangements.
The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to the church.
