Ellen Ruth Patton Reyes
October 4, 1949 – February 15, 2011
Ellen Patton Reyes passed away on Tuesday February 15, 2011. Ellen was a long time resident of LaPorte and Pasadena. She was preceded in death by her father Robert “Pat” Patton. Ellen was survived by her loving husband of thirty years, Steve Reyes, a daughter, Christi Heath, of Maine and her husband Roger, two grandsons, Howie Jones and Seth Jones, both of Maine. She was also survived by her mother, Ruth Patton, of Pasadena, a brother Robert Patton and wife Lillie, sisters, Linda Barrett and husband Glenn, Darice Rhoads and husband Buddy, and Marla Scoby and husband Rick. There are also numerous nieces and nephews. Ellen was born on October 4, 1949 in Pasadena, and grew up there graduating from Sam Rayburn High School in 1968. She retired from SW Bell after 25 years of service. Ellen was known to be an animal lover and over the years owned several dogs and cats, but she especially loved horses. She and her husband were active members of Animal House Kookers, a competitive cook off team. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 10:00am at Grand View Funeral Home, Rev Wayne Moss officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, February 18th from 5 to 8pm at Grand View Funeral Home located at 8501 Spencer Highway (281) 479-6076.
