EDNA L. (BUSHEY) SMITH LEMAY EAGAN
September 25, 1921 - April 5, 2010
Edna L. (Bushey) Eagan, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY, entered peacefully into rest on Monday, April 5, 2010 at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.
Born on September 25, 1921, in Westville, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Bodway) Bushey.
Mrs. Eagan was raised and attended schools in Westville, NY. Edna came to Niagara Falls, NY in 1959. She worked for Shields Slipper Factory in Bombay, NY. Mrs. Eagan was also employed by Tops on Portage Road in Niagara Falls and Niagara Catholic High School. Edna served as a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels in Niagara Falls.
Mrs. Eagan is survived by six children, Candice (Howard) Parish of Gowanda, NY, Cletus N. (Diana) Smith of Holland, MI, Tanya M. Wilson of Niagara Falls, NY, Rom L. LeMay of Newfane, NY, Shelia D. (Robert) Palmer of Phoenix, AZ, and Phyllis LeMay of Chateaugay, NY; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and many step-children; nieces and nephews.
Edna was predeceased by three former husbands, Cletus Smith, Henry Lester LeMay and John Eagan; one daughter, Constance Smith; four sisters, Stella Dumas, Marion Eaton, Rita Keefe and Beverly Barney and two brothers, John and Howard Bushey.
The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 8-9:15 AM in the Chapel of the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (297-9007), where prayers will be said at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259-4th Street, Niagara Falls, NY.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
