Alfred Wiste and Hattie Halvorson were married 2/12/1919. Attendants were Johnnie Ulven and Stella Halvorson.

From the Austin Daily Herald, November 11, 1986:
Hattie E. Wiste, 89, of Adams, Minn., was born August 5, 1896 in Marshall Township. She was the daughter of Otto and Mattie Halverson and the second of fourteen children.

On February 12, 1919, she was married to Alfred Wiste at Adams. They farmed north of Adams until 1966. She was a member of Little Cedar Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary 146.

Mrs. Wiste died June 27, 1986 at Adams Health Care in Adams.

She is survived by four sons and daughter-in-laws: Paul and Esther Wiste, Austin; William and Alice Wiste, Zumbrota, Minn.; Dave and Kathleen Wiste, Adams; Harold and Alice Wiste, Adams; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Asper, Adams; Mrs. Clifford (Lillie) Weness, Adams; Mrs. Victor (Alice) Lindquist, St. Paul; Mrs. Orland (Leone) Krug, Atlanta, Georgia; one brother and sister-in-law, Maurice and Isabelle Halverson, Rose Creek; one brother-in-law, Art Lindquist, St. Paul; nieces, nephews; cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Stella, Nora, Ruth; five brothers, Ed, Fred, Laurence, Henry, Orville.

Funeral service was held Monday, June 30, 1986 at Little Cedar Lutheran Church. Pastor Gunderson officiated. Soloist was Jan Johnson and organist, Charlotte Anderson. Pallbearers were Orville Knutson, Orrin Wiste, Clifford Wiste, Wilbur Johnson, Dennis Uglum, Nordeen Snortum. Honorary pallbearers were Ferdie Viste and Nathan Merten. Interment was in Little Cedar Cemetery.

Hattie was a kind and thoughtful person always willing to help others and will be missed by all.

Hattie Halverson Wiste was born to Otto and Mattie (Boe) Halverson on August 5, 1896. She was the second of fourteen children.

She was baptized at Little Cedar in 1896 and confirmed in 1910 at Marshall.

She married Alfred Joel Wiste February 12, 1919, and they farmed north of Adams until 1966.

She has four sons: Paul of Austin; Bill of Rochester; David and Harold of Adams. She has 13 grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Hattie's favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:10. Her favorite hymns are "Heaven is My Home" and "How Great Thou Art."
