He was formerly a resident of Indianapolis, Indiana where he was a cabinet-maker. William was born November 21, 1905 at Turtle Lake, N.D. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army from 1942-1945. He was married to Martha Anders of Indianapolis.
Survivors include three sisters, Ruth Viste, St. Louis, Mo.; Mabel Larson, Adams and Myrtle Viste, Austin, Mn.; one brother, Irvin Viste, Sauk Rapids, Mn.; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha and three brothers Helmer, Clarence and Arthur Viste.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 2 at Little Cedar Lutheran Church with Pastor Allen Gunderson officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Richard Hinz, organist and Mrs. Paul Larson, soloist. Interment was in Little Cedar Lutheran Cemetery. Casket bearers were Dave Wiste, Arthur Osmundson, Jr.; Arlen Viste, Gordon Viste, William Larson and Donald Larson.
