Mamie Ruth Alsman, 90, of Linton, passed away on Monday, Nov. 14, at Glenburn Nursing Home.
Mamie was born Sept. 22, 1926 in Sullivan County, the daughter of John Sexton and Edna Gambill Sexton.
Mamie Ruth was a devoted servant of the lord, with many years of her life spent in ministry to others. She was a member of the Church of God and most recently attended the Howesville Church of God.
Mamie Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, Harold Alsman, one son, Kenneth Alsman, and two brothers, Robert Sexton and Donald Sexton.
Survivors include one son Robert Alsman (Jenny) of Sandborn, one sister, Ruby Jean Rogers of Linton, and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Carmichael officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in the Samaria Cemetery in Dugger.
