David Wayne Prunty, 59, of Charleston passed away Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

He was of the Christian faith and a member of Emanuel Baptist Church, Charleston. He loved video games, spending time with people, especially older people.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Edsil H. Prunty, Sr. and Joe Ann Rupe Prunty.

Surviving are his brothers, Edsil (Joyce) Prunty of Charleston, Thomas Ray Prunty of Charleston; sister, Teresa Ann (Randy) Mullins of Clendenin; several nieces and nephews; and special parents, Keith and Jeannie Jones who lovingly adopted him into their hearts.

Service will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 at the Hafer Funeral Home with Senator Ed Gaunch officiating. Burial will be at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV., 25311.
