SALEM - Jennifer Lee Wells was born on August 19, 1963 in Salem, Oregon to Darlene Staab Wells (Dolly) and F. Gene Wells. She was the third of three children. Jeni was raised in Salem and attended school at Hayesville Elementary, Waldo Jr. High and graduated from McKay High School in 1981. After graduating she enrolled at Modern Beauty School. She worked as an aesthetician for several years then moved on to the world of business. She worked for Towery Farms, Oregon Legislature, and the last nine years for the Oregon Judicial Department as a Judicial Specialist II within the court system. Jeni's passions were many. She enjoyed crafts of all sorts, gardening, music, games, sports (an avid Duck fan), and her two cats, Cassie and Spooky.
Jennifer loved her family, her many, many friends, spending time and activities with all. She had a heart full of love, always providing a helping hand and a listening ear to the needs of so many. Her laughter and joy of life will be missed.
Jennifer is survived by her mother, Dolly; father, Gene; sister, Julie; brother, John; nephews, Justin Wells, Alex Adams, Noah Adams and Jason Wells; and nieces, Miranda Wells and Madison Adams.
Although Jennifer never had children of her own she had a special relationship and bond with Tyler Towery, "her boy".
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 7th at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church located at 721 Chemeketa St. NE, Salem, Oregon 97301. Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors. For online and audio condolences please visit www.HED-FH.com.
