EARLHAM - A funeral for Mark Allen Schreck, 12, of Earlham was held Jan. 14, 1985 at the Peace Lutheran Church here. He died of cancer at Mercy Hospital Medical Center at Des Moines on Jan. 11.

A memorial service was held Jan. 15 at Earlham Community School, where Mark was a seventh grade student. Burial was in the Bear Creek Cemetery at rural Earlham.

Mark was born June 26, 1972 in Sedalia, Mo. and was the son of Richard A. and Joyce K Schreck. He had lived with his family at Mount Ayr and Afton before moving to Earlham in 1982. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his parents, one sister, Shelly; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Ingram of Ames; his paternal grandmother, Rubie Schreck Brown of Canton, Mo.; and two great-grandmothers, Mary Peitzman of Story City and Pearl Ingram of Madrid.
