Loren Ray Halfhill Sr., of Mt. Braddock, passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, with his family by his side. He was born July 8, 1934, in Mt. Braddock. Loren was the son of Charles and Mary (Nedrow) Halfhill. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jessie M. (Liston) Halfhill; son, Loren Halfhill Jr.; a son-in-law, Mark Uhazie; and sisters and brothers, Edith, Margaret, Charles, Robert, Myrtle, Harold, Walter, James, Hugh, Phillip and Phyllis. Loren was a member of the Pechin Community Chapel, Dunbar. Left to cherish his memory is his children, Clayton Halfhill and wife, Tammy, of Mt. Braddock, Carol Uhazie, of Mt. Braddock, and Barbara Halfhill and fiance, Kevin Heck, of Dunbar, and Michelle Halfhill, of Mt. Braddock; daughter-in-law, Wilma Keller; beloved grandchildren, Loren Adam Halfhill and wife, Denise, Brook Shoemaker and husband, Neil, Mark Uhazie and wife, Danielle, Cassandra Walters and husband, Denny, Raymond Wingrove and fiance, Courtney Evans, Samantha Mahoney and husband, Eric, Clayton Halfhill Jr. and fiance, Carolynn McMekin, Blair Garletts; 13 cherished great-grandchildren; and he was also survived by his sisters, Mary Helen Halfhill, Shirley Coleman, Nancy Watson, Karen Matthews and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, and from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown. Family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, when the funeral service will be held at the Pechin Community Chapel, Dunbar, with his Pastor, Chris Varney and Pastor Lee Maley officiating.
