In the Lexington Dispatch newspaper published on 8 Jan 1896 on page 3 is an article that mentions the death of Emmerson Gallimore, They write " Mr. Emmerson Gallimore, one of our best Christian young men that ever lived in this part of the county, died suddenly on Dec 25th at 6am with an abscess and was buried at Mt. Ebal Cemetry on the 26th. The funeral services were conducted by the Revs.. N. M. Modlin and J.B. Thompson. Mr. Gallimore was only 26 years old, and truly was a model young man, never drank or used a profane word in his life, always striving to do right. The family have our deepest sympathy."
