Michael G. Dempsey, 56, of Eagle River, Wisconsin passed away on the morning of November 3, 2016 as a result of an automobile accident. Mike was born on May 21st, 1960 in Fond du Lac. A son of Edward and Mary Beth O'Hearn Dempsey. Mike graduated from L.P Goodrich in 1979. In his high school years, Mike was known as " Mr. Defense" on his Fondy Cardinal Football Team. Winning numerous awards. Earning football scholarships also. He loved all sports. Loved fishing with his brothers and good friends. Mike loved spending time with family and friends. Especially his two daughters and granddaughter. Loved his two dogs Coco and Rosie. He really loved being in the Northwoods, God's country.Mike married Bonnie Younkie and was married for two years. A year later, he met Billie Jones and they were united into marriage. They moved to Eagle River where Mike worked as a successful business man, as a Roofing and Construction Contractor.Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Billie; his two daughters, Andrea (Christopher) Wiltzius of Madison and Hannah Hunt of Eagle River; Stepdaughter Kelly Jones of Milwaukee; One granddaughter, August Wiltzius of Madison.Two brothers; Dennis Dempsey of Fond du Lac and Kevin Dempsey of Fond du Lac; Two sisters, Megan of Oshkosh and Mary Dempsey of Fond du Lac. Two nephews; Anthony and Andrew Nummerdor of Fond du Lac; One niece and God child Amand Nummerdor of Fond du Lac.Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Beth O'Hearn; Two brothers, Patrick and Bryan; grandparents; Two uncles, Peter and Tom O' Hearn; One Aunt, Marilyn Dempsey.The family would like to thank Mike's high school friends for their support and wonderful memories of our brother.Family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, November 10th at 10:00 a.m., until the time of Services at the Gaffney- Busha Funeral Home, 304 E Division Street, Eagle River, Wisconsin. Cremation has taken place.
