Pamela Kay Springer, 68 of Amherst
On July 24th, 2016, the world lost one of its great fighters, Pamela Springer. She died peacefully at Cleveland Metro Health Hospital with her loving family at her side. Pam lived to the age of 68, living 20 years longer than doctors expected. She overcame numerous medical odds and provided inspiration to all.
Pam was born on November 28th, 1948, and raised in Lorain County, the daughter of Robert and Betty Temple. She graduated from Lorain Clearview High School where she excelled in academics, cheerleading and music.
Pam married her husband, Allen Springer, of 46 years on June 5th 1971 and together they raised three sons, Steven, Scott and Joseph. Pam dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family. Her strength and will enabled her to continue that love by seeing 2 of her sons get married and the birth of 3 grandchildren, Hunter, Parker and Gracie.
Pam was known for helping others and being a great neighbor. She was involved with volunteering her time with organization such as PTA, Vietnam Veterans, and Salvation Army. She constantly opened her home to friends and family, acted as a mother to more than just her kids and always put others first.
For fun, Pam enjoyed traveling, playing cards, bowling and doing cross word puzzles.
During her life Pam suffered the loss of her sister, Bobby June Temple, but is survived by her brother, Lawrence Temple. She is also survived by her devoted and loving husband, Allen G. Springer, and her sons, Steven, Joseph and Scott, and Steven's three children, Hunter, Parker and Gracie.
Despite obstacles with her health, Pam always came through fighting, and was a true warrior all of her life. She will be deeply missed, but always remembered, loved and an inspiration to all.
