Henrietta Louisa Carruth was the only child of the marriage of Nathan Carruth and Louisa Jones Pratt. She died at the age of four in 1835 and was buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery, possibly because her grandparents, Eleazer and Mary Jones Pratt had been buried there. Her mother Louisa died at the age of 34 nine years later and was initially buried next to her daughter.
Cedar Grove Cemetery records show that both Henrietta and her mother were re-interred here in 1871 along with Nathan Carruth's step-sons, by his second marriage, Royal and William Porter.
