Jeffie Carolyn King was born in Tatum, NM to Frank Woods King and Ola Mae Agnes Greenlee King in 1932. They lived in a house in Tatum built by Ola's father Clarence Greenlee of Wayland, Texas. The family soon moved to Throckmorton Tx. where Carolyn grew up and went to church and school. She graduated from Throckmorton High School. She married Kenneth Lemons in 1951. She and Kenneth moved to New Jersey where they raised their four children. When they retired, they moved to Lakeway, Texas. She was a very busy mother and served in many church and community activities.
A Celebration of Life service was held on Nov. 7, 2016 at the Lake Travis United Methodist Church in Lakeway, Tx. led by Dr. Ray Kiser. Carolyn is survived by her sister, Dorothy Ann Kayser of Tyler, and by her children and grandchildren.
