He is survived by his two sons, Ryan (Karen) Duggin of Kittrell and Dustin (Lauren) Duggin of Murfreesboro; brothers, Virgil (Ola) Duggin of Woodbury, Harold (Kay Brown) Duggin of Greeneville and Mitch (Bridgette) Duggin of Centertown; sisters, Dotty (Alenn Portwood) Duggin of Woodbury and Genda Perry of Bradyville; three grandchildren, Madilyn Grace Duggin, Emilia Kate Duggin and Brantley Lane Duggin, as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Anyone who knew Mike, knew he was an easy-going person who liked to joke and have a good time. He graduated Woodbury Central High School in the class of 1974. He was a member of the Woodbury First Baptist Church. Mike loved to tinker around with all sorts of things. He built/fabricated toys for his grandkids and all kinds of other items. His handy nature allowed him to get work in maintenance for several different companies including, Val Dor Shirt Factory, Cannon County Sportswear, The Knitting Mill, and more recently, Crane Interiors. Mike was in his environment being outdoors. He loved to hunt, clear trails, ride his 4-wheeler, and plant a garden. He liked to get together with friends and pick guitar and listen to music. His true love was for his grandkids. He tried to spend every spare moment with them.
Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 1 pm in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Greg Mitchell will officiate. Interment will be in Duggin Cemetery.
