Wanda Lean Caldwell, age 81 of New Boston, Texas passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at her residence. She was born July 3, 1935 in DeKalb, Texas.

She was a Homemaker, Lifetime member of Westside Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and worked in the nursery for numerous years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, E.M. and Annie Hall and a daughter, Tammy Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years as of November 6, William ‘Bill’ Caldwell of New Boston, Texas, two daughters and a son in law, Jan and Larry Johnson of New Boston, Texas, Shelia Caldwell Holder of New Boston, Texas, her grandchildren and their spouses, Cody and Brooke Johnson of DeKalb, Texas, Chris and Dollie Johnson of New Boston, Texas, Kristi and Steve Mefford of Texarkana, Arkansas, great grandchildren, Athena Upshaw of New Boston, Texas, Phoenix Mitchell of Texarkana, Arkansas, Kilee and Connor Johnson of DeKalb, Texas, Ella and Bo Johnson of New Boston, Texas, two brothers and a sister in law, Morris Hall of DeKalb, Texas, Johnnie and Peggy Hall of Texarkana, Texas two sisters, Mirriam Hall of Center, Texas, Wilma Ballew of Dallas, Texas, one brother in law, Bruce Caldwell of New Boston, Texas, special friends, Betty Jo Crumpton, Faye Griffin, Bertha Hall, Ozell Thompson, Kim Peek, Sara Bush, the late Ellen Stewart, plus a number of other relatives and friends. The family sends a very special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Texarkana for their care.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Westside Missionary Baptist Church, New Boston with Bro. Ron Whittle officiating. Interment will be in Godley Prairie Cemetery, New Boston.
