Folsom died Dec. 18 in Mesa, Ariz. He was born Dec. 20, 1938 in Fort Defiance .
Folsom attended St. Michaels and Window Rock High School. He served two tours of duty with the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. He worked in Paramount, California, Anaconda Mine and was a bookkeeper for ONEO and the Navajo Nation Dept. of Labor. His hobbies included hunting and fishing and he enjoyed sports of all kinds and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his children David A. Folsom Jr., Regina Clauschee, both of St. Michaels, Ariz., Daylene Renee Folsom, Wilfred Upshaw, both of Phoenix, Kevin Folsom, Lena Kenneth, both of Tempe, Tamara Wise, Franklin Bell, both of Albuquerque; mother Ethel A. Folsom; sisters, Linda Swan of St. Michaels, Sharon Cavanaugh of Phoenix; brother Jerry Folsom of Santa Fe; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Homer Folsom.
