Dennis Dale Holt, 61, New Castle, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. He was born Nov. 21, 1954, to Dempsey R. and Helen L. Holt.
A 1973 graduate of Western High School in Russiaville, Dennis was employed as a high voltage maintenance specialist at Public Service Indiana for over 23 years, until going on disability. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the National Rifle Association. An avid fisherman, Dennis loved southern Indiana, where he resided for 17 years, and had served as the secretary/treasurer of the White Oak Lake Association.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 31 years, Joan (Cronk) Holt, New Castle; two daughters, Kelsie Holt, Bloomington and Kaycie Holt, New Castle; his mother, Helen Holt, Kokomo; two sisters, Debbie (Jim) Statzell, Fairfield Glades, Tennessee, and Dana Holt, Kokomo; a brother, Dave (Susan) Holt, Kokomo, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
Celebration of life services will be 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with David Brock officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
