DAVENPORT — Funeral services celebrating the life of Mable “Elizabeth” White, 82, of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4929 Wisconsin Ave., Davenport. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Monday at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Missionary Fund.

Mrs. White passed away Monday, Nov. 7, at Genesis Medical Center-East Rusholme Street, Davenport.

Mable Elizabeth Westphal was born Oct. 15, 1934, in Pine River, Michigan, a daughter of Lee Oscar and Mable Mae (Spayd) Westphal. She was united in marriage Harold Henry “Hum” White in 1950 in Alma, Michigan. He preceded her in death in 2005.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and volunteered in the church cannery and was active in the missionary program. She enjoyed reading, animals and genealogy.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Harold “Butch” White, Wasilla, Alaska, Connie (Mike) Sleeper, Davenport, Paul (Rose) White, Marana, Arizona, and Kris (Randy) Hanford, Tucson, Arizona; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and sister, Ruth Ann Barringer, Tucson.
