John was born March 15, 1938 to John W., Sr. and Mabel (Galsby) Bragg in North Gardens, VA, where he grew up. He served in the United States Navy from November 22, 1956 to October 2, 1958. John married Rebecca Coe, and she passed away on November 29, 2015. John worked as a roofer his whole life and retired in 2003. After his retirement, he moved to Albany, GA. He moved to Fremont in 2015, after his wife's passing.
John loved to hunt and work in his yard, but his family always came first.
He is survived by his sons, John Christopher Coe of Albany, GA, Mike and wife, Denise Coe of Fremont, James Edward Coe of Albany, GA and Mark Bragg of Virginia; daughters, Angela Bragg of Tennessee and Doreen Bragg of Virginia; brother, Joe Bragg of Virginia; sisters, Shirley Kindric of Orange, VA, Myrtle Shiplet, and Nancy Baber of Virginia; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife and 5 brothers.
Graveside service will be 3:00 P.M., Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Military Honors will be conducted by members of the Fremont Honor Guard of V.F.W. Post #854 and American Legion Post #20."
