Son of Thomas J. Stanley who resided in Bradford, Massachusetts.

Thomas served as a Staff Sergeant, 148th Infantry Regiment, 37th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Hartford County, Connecticut prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on October 24, 1942 in Hartford, Connecticut. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being a filer, grinder, buffer, and polisher of metal and also as Single, without dependents.

Thomas was "Killed In Action" near Baguio on Luzon, Philippine Islands during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
