Tony was born in Hazard, KY, died in Lady Lake, FL He moved from KY to Fruitland Park with his family in 1958; then moved to Lady Lake in 1971. Tony started working for Florida Telephone in 1969 at the age of 18 as a COE installer and retired from Century Link in 2015. Survived by his wife Betty Thomas Woods, Lady Lake; Children Vogal “Jamie” Woods (Robin), Leesburg; Amanda Woods, Fruitland Park; Kamron Woods, Fruitland Park; Kristin Woods Merwine (Kevin) Leesburg; 7 grandchildren; Mother Christine Campbell Woods, Weirsdale; (preceded in death by his father Vogal Woods); Brothers Gerald Woods of Weirsdale, FL; Casey Woods (Jane) Wake Forest, NC. Viewing will be held at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake on Tuesday, November 15th at 10:00am, graveside service with internment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg, on Tuesday November 15 at 11:00. Because of Tony’s love of caring for others, the family suggests in lieu of flowers, donation be made to Covenant Life Church of God Benevolence Fund 706 Urick St. Fruitland Park, FL 34731.
