George E. Bronson of Junction City, Oregon, died at home on November 29, 2014 of pancreatic cancer at the age of 62. He was born June 18, 1952 in Eugene, Oregon to Verne and Martha Bronson (George was 7th born of 13). The family moved to the farm after George finished first grade.

George graduated from Junction City High School in 1970 and went on to Oregon State University (OSU). He returned to run the family farm after one and a half years at OSU. George loved farming and kept busy raising and caring for beef cattle. He managed the family farm until his recent illness, diagnosed in May 2014.

He enjoyed the annual elk hunt with hi s brothers, family and friends, along with hiking, and traveling when he could get away from the farm he loved so dearly. His mother was especially important to him in his daily life, he enjoyed just sitting and listening to her. George hiked to the top of the South Sister (Cascade Mountain Range in Oregon) four times, most recently last year in July 2013.

George met his sweetheart Rosanne at his brother Richard's wedding in Minnesota. Richard married Rosanne' s sister Sandy. They walked down the aisle together as attendants. Two years later they married, August 18, 1984 in Princeton, Minnesota. They have one son, Jason.

Survivors include his wife, Rosanne; a son, Jason; his mother Martha Bronson; six sisters; Janet, Nancy, Joann, Bunny, Barbara, Linda and six brothers; Stephen, Kenneth, Richard, David, Willie and Robert .

Funeral Mass will be at St . Helen' s Catholic Church, 1350 W. 6th Ave, Junction City, Oregon on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 1 pm. There will also be a memorial service at Williams Dingmann Funeral Home, 205 Rum River Drive South, Princeton, MN on Saturday, December 6 at 1 pm. Interment will be at St. Edwards Catholic Cemetery, Princeton, Minnesota.

Pallbearers for the Oregon service are hi s brothers; Richard, David, Stephen, Willie, Kenneth, Robert , and his s best friend Doug Snyder.

Pallbearers for the Minnesota service are; brother Richard and wife Sandy, brother-­in-­law Pat and wife Sharon, brother-­in-­laws Ron and Arnold.
