OBITUARY:
Wanda "Jean" Maxwell, 83, of Kennewick, WA, passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2010, in Everett, WA, of kidney failure and was also in the middle stages of Alzheimer's. Jean was born March 24, 1926, in Tulsa, OK, to Mary and Jack Pickering.
When her father left Tulsa to work at Hanford Atomic Reservation in the late 1940s, she followed her parents to the Tri-Cities. She met Robert Arthur Maxwell, her husband of 49 years, in the Tri-Cities in 1947. Jean was a devoted mother to her children and dedicated herself to making a better life for her daughter Cyndi following a horse-riding accident.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by her children, Rod, Bob (wife Roberta), Dave, Cyndi; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A family celebration of Jean's life will be held Saturday, March 13th, in Lake Stevens.
