Herbert, Stephen W., passed away Nov. 10 at this home.

Steve was born in Beckley, WV on March 31, 1959. Steve was a graduate of Centerville High School Class of 1977. He was a football player with the Elks through his high school years.

Steve graduated from ITT with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked in the engineering field where he became an Aerospace Engineer. Steve was on the aerospace team who designed the Titan Missile Program; he also worked as an engineer on the US Space Station. He was involved on many GE jet engine projects as well as GM Auto Products.

Steve is preceded in death by his Father, Sonny Herbert, his Brother, Randy Herbert, and his Uncle, Jerry Domi. He is survived by his Mother Gloria Herbert, his Niece Brittany Haley (Brian), Niece Harper Haley, and Nephew Tanner Haley. Steve will be missed by numerous Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 6:00 pm. Steve’s family will greet friends from 4-6:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
He will be buried at David’s Cemetery next to his Father and Brother.

In his memory, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society.
