Born in Marshall Township. Confirmed at Little Cedar in 1906. Jacob Knutson and Hattie Wiste were married at Little Cedar on 9/24/1913. Attendants were Alfred Wiste and Ida Johnson.

Obituary:
Hattie Edina Wiste Knutson, daughter of Andrew A. and Hannah Wiste, was born April 21, 1892 in Marshall Township. She was baptized and confirmed in Little Cedar Church of which she was a lifelong and active member in all its organization.

On September 24, 1913, she was united in marriage to Jacob C. Knutson. One daughter, Harriet, (Mrs. Earl Weness) was born to them. They spent many years farming in this community and moved into town in October, 1943.

She is survived by her husband, daughter and son-in-law, three grandchildren, Erlin, Roger and Janet Kay Weness; one sister, Mrs. E. N. Johnson, one brother, Alfred Wiste, all of Adams and a foster brother, William Viste of Indianapolis, Ind.

Preceding her in death were her parents and three sisters.

Mrs. Knutson had always enjoyed good health and was very active all of her life. For the past year a heart condition curtailed her activities somewhat and last November 11, she was taken to St. Olaf Hospital for treatment of a heart attack. She recovered quite well from this and after being at home two weeks, suffered a stroke on December 15 from which she never recovered. For four weeks she was at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment. She slept peacefully away at her home on Sunday evening, April 13, 1958 at 8:30 P. M. at the age of 65 years, 11 months and 22 days.

For 13 years Mr. and Mrs. Knutson were custodians of Little Cedar Church. She spent many busy hours there and enjoyed the work. She was a friend to all and always ready to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Her main interests were her church and family and she attended services regularly until sickness prevented it.

Funeral services were held at Little Cedar Lutheran Church on Thursday, April 17, 1958 at 1:30 P. M., Rev. T P. Mohn officiating. Interment was in Little Cedar cemetery.

Mrs. N. V. Torgerson, Mrs. E. S. Anderson and Mrs. Herb Osmundson sang “My God and I” and Rev. M. L. Witte of Callender, Iowa, sang “Den Store Hvide Fisk.”

Pallbearers were Theodore Bohn, Arnold Asper, Dave Wiste, Donald Johnson, Orville Knutson and Allen Knutson
