Leah O. Roberts, 76, of the 4700 block of 84th Street, Urbandale, died of complications of emphysema Monday at Senior Suites there. The body will be cremated following visitation. Burial of the cremains will be Friday morning at Bear Creek Cemetery near Dexter.
Mrs. Roberts was born in Dallas County and had lived in Mesa, Ariz., and Indianola before moving to Urbandale two years ago. She was a retired secretary for the Alumni Association of Arizona State University.
She is survived by a son, Ben of Urbandale, and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola. Memorial contributions may be made to Senior Suites Library in Urbandale.
