SAMUEL MINNS, BAKER, DIED OF CONSUMPTION.
His death notice in the Nassau Guardian Vol 13 #95 of 17 October 1857 describes Samuel as representing Andros Island in the House of Assembly from 1834-1853 and his service in the NP Militia. The date of his commission being Lieutenant 23 March 1836, Captain 24 June 1837 and Major 18 April 1856, in command of the light infantry batallion, up to April 1857, when it was disbanded.
HE WAS SECRETARY OF THE INAGUA SALT COMPANY and Superintendent of St. Matthew's Sunday school.
