Pearl Vess King, 91, of Seymour, went to be with our Lord and Savior Thursday, November 10, 2016. She was a dedicated member of Seymour Community Church. She was "Maw" to everyone that loved her. Pearl worked part time with her husband in their grocery store, but her most important role was wife, mother, and grandmother. We will miss her sweet smile, gentle spirit, and laughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Carl King; sister-in-law, Blanche Storm; and daughter-in-law, Joy King. She is survived by sons, Joe and Gene King; daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Byron Walker; grandchildren, Leslie King, Kelly and Nick Blankenship, Shannon King and Tricia Majors, David and Sharon Walker, Amy and Bob Goin; great-grandchildren, Beth and Daniel Robertson, Joe and Bronte Blankenship, Alexandria Walker, William Walker, Joseph Walker, Jillian and Carson King, and Carlie McDaniel; and sister-in-law, Lucille Irwin. Special caregivers, Nancy Cline and Mildred Williams.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seymour Community Church and Christian School. Family and friends will meet 1:00 PM, Saturday, in Mount Olive Cemetery, for a graveside service, with Pastor Patrick Koster officiating.
