Carl J. Annanias Knutson, the son of Jacob and Kari Johnson Knutson, was born July 2, 1884 in Marshall township, northwest of Adams.
He was baptized on May 17, 1899 and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, being a life long member of Little Cedar Lutheran Church and faithfully attending services until his recent illness.

Carl was confined to his farm home for the past 27 months, and lovingly cared for by his faithful wife and son. He slept peacefully away on Sunday evening, March 24, 1974, at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 22 days.
He was a cheerful, thankful, patient husband and father, enjoying the many visits of Pastor Quibell, relatives, friends and neighbors.
