Julie Mathis, 50, Hollow View Road, Corbin, passed away, Monday, May 11, 2009, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Born Nov. 20, 1958, in Shelbyville, Ind., to John Davidson, of Lily, and the late Pearl Davidson. She was affiliated with the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include her father; her husband, Henry Mathis, of Corbin; a daughter, Oquina Lace Mathis, of Corbin; five sisters, Rebecca Dysart, of Corbin, Rita Leake and Josephine Lux, of London, Linda Smith and Janet George, of Shelbyville, Ind.; four brothers, Denzil Davidson, of London, Jewel Davidson and James Davidson, both of Manchester, and Mendel Davidson, of Somerset.

Memorial services were at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ted Eversole officiating. Burial was in the Martin-Davidson Cemetery in Clay County.
