Jamie Kay Bell, 69 went home Thursday, November 10, 2016 in Blooming Grove. Jamie was a 1965 graduate of Coleman High School and a 1969 graduate of Abilene Christian University. Jamie married Doyle Bell in June of 1969. Their 47 years of marriage led her to become certified in teaching in all areas of education including kindergarten, elementary, secondary, special education, coaching girls basketball, ESL and numerous others. She enjoyed laughing, painting, golfing, cards, fishing and entertaining family and friends. She was a dedicated teacher, a loving mother, grandmother, friend and an inspiration to all the knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Myrtle Streetman.
She is survived by her husband, Roland Doyle Bell; children, Shauna Martin and Ashley Johnson; three grandchildren, Ryan Martin, Samantha Martin, Sierra Johnson and one sister, Annella Martin.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 at Central Baptist Church of Blooming Grove. Family burial will be at Dewey Cemetery.
