Achilles, Mary Mary "Irene" Achilles was born April 3, 1920 in Kansas, Missouri and passed away July 13, 2013 in Grapevine. Memorial Rosary: 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 26, J.F. Foust & Son Memorial Chapel 523 S. Main, Grapevine. Memorial Mass: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, St.Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 Wildwood, Grapevine. Achilles, Jr. for 29 years until he preceded her in death in 1981. Irene worked for Frito Lay in Irving for many years. She lived in the DFW area for most of her life. When her husband retired from Braniff, they moved to Maui and lived there for ten years. Irene enjoyed volunteering for Maui Memorial Hospital while living there. She moved back to Texas to be closer to her children in 1986. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and "Gigi". Irene is survived by: Harry and Burky Achilles, Pancho Achilles, Judy Rudebusch, Dee Dee and Nevin Mulvin, JoAnn and C.D. Heinen, Eileen and Alan Fritsche, Mike and Cathy Achilles and Jimmy Achilles; grandchildren, Ruthie, Harry, Kelly, Audrey, Kyle, Andrew, Christopher, Thomas, Stephen, Mark and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kevin, Jack, Declan and Emma.
