JAMESTOWN Mrs. Jane Gray Malloy, 75, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 6, 2016, at home, following an extended illness. She was born October 5, 1941, in Patrick County, VA to the late Daniel Enoch and Lydia Smith Gray. Jane was a lifelong member of Moriah United Methodist Church in Greensboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas Delane Gray and Larry Joe Gray. Survivors include her husband, David Owens Malloy, Sr.; two daughters, Julie Malloy Copeland (Brooks) of Greensboro and Polly Malloy Sherfield of Union, SC; a son, David Owens Malloy, Jr. of Climax; and a sister, Nancy Gray Prater of Buford, GA.A private family graveside service will be conducted at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Advance. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be considered for Moriah United Methodist Church, 3611 Liberty Road, Greensboro, NC 27406, (336) 272-7988; or Greensboro History Museum, 130 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27401, (336) 373-2043.Online condolences may be made at www.eatonfuneralservice.com.
