She was a member of a pioneer ranch and law enforcement family in north Texas. Born in Olney, Texas to Chloe E. Branum and Henry Clay Williams, she was a Christian from an early age and many Christian ministries benefited from her support. She was a counselor for the 700 Club and a member of the First Methodist Church in Houston for 50 years. Survived by her husband of 50 years Frank H. Beneke, Jr. and nieces and nephews Suzanne Lyons, James R. Smith, Mary Kay Freeman and Mary Kay Green of Houston, Texas, Milton N. Beneke, Jr. of Surfside Beach, N. C., John Fisher Green II of Schulenburg, Texas, Mike Hutchens of Lubbock, Texas and Vicki Brown of Abilene, Texas and her cousins Horace Williams and Gordon Branum of Newcastle, Texas, and a number of great nieces and nephews.
