Wayne Henry Dyer, age 90, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 in his home.

He was born July 17, 1926 in Holdrege, Nebraska the son of Roy and Leona (Everson) Dyer.

On August 12, 1946 he was united in marriage to Mary Pierce who survives. Also surviving are three sons, and seven daughters.

Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers, Dick, Larry and Jim Dyer.

Wayne grew up in Nebraska where he received his education. For several years he was a self-employed truck driver and mechanic. He had been a fireman and was a member of Lions International and the NRA. He was an avid trap shooter and enjoyed restoring Farmall Tractors, hunting and fishing. He loved blue grass music, dancing and was a great story teller. Twenty-five years ago he moved to Purdy to make his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Pastor Lee Neill will conduct the services. Burial will be at Arnhart Cemetery in Purdy.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Friday at Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
