Howard Radford Massey, Jr., 89, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016.
He was born Nov. 11, 1926 in Deland, FL to the late Howard Sr. and Flora Fannon Massey. He was a veteran of the US Army and Air Corp. A retired claims adjuster with Travelers Ins. Co. He was a Mason and Shriner, and a long time member of Watkins Memorial United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Wright Massey, and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Barbara Graham Massey, his 2 daughters Deborah Masten (Keith) of Frisco, TX and Lizabeth Meyer of Memphis, TN. 3 grandchildren Brooke Meyer Trentlage (Ben), Michael Meyer, and Ashley Kujawa (Sean). His brother Blain "Jake" Massey (Vivian) . His step-son Mark Carr (Donna) , 2 step grandchildren Ryan Carr (Amy) and Karen Carr Baker (Logan), and 8 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 10 am to 11 am Saturday, with a service to celebrate the life of Howard at 11 am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 7410 Westport Road with Military Honors to follow. Entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, 2778 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN.
