Verna Cole Johnson, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend returned peacefully in her sleep to our Heavenly Father, Monday, Feb 8, l993.
Verna was born December 9, l898 in Treasurerton, Idaho, the daughter of John and Mary Cole. She married Ray Arnold Johnson May 14, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
The family is comforted by the knowledge she is with her parents, brothers and sisters, and her eternal companion who preceded her in death. We are especially grateful for the loving care she received at the St. Joseph's Villa. The nurses, Sisters and aides cared for her like they would their own mother. We gratefully acknowledge their Christ like love.
Verna is survived by her six children, Mr. & Mrs. Martin J. Solomon (Katherine), San Francisco, Mr. & Mrs. A.W Bill Johnson (Carol), Bountiful, Mr. & Mrs. Milton B. Thacker (Claire), Salt Lake City; Mr. Walter E. Johnson, Virginia Beach, Mr. & Mrs. John M. Johnson (Molly), Little Rock, and Mr. & Mrs. Allen C. Johnson (Catherine), Salt Lake City; 22 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services Thursday, Feb. 11th, 12 noon at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends and family may call Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. and also on Thursday one hour prior to the services.
Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
