Funeral services for Mr. Henry Freeman, Jr., of Dexter, will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Saint Luke Baptist Church, 620 East Main Street, Dexter. Reverend Jamie Pittman will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Freeman was born on May 28, 1934 in Dexter. He retired from the Laurens County Board of Education after forty years of service, and from J. P. Stevens/Forstmann Industries after forty years of service. He was a member the Hatoff Lodge #409 for over thirty-five years, and he was an usher and a deacon at the Saint Luke Baptist Church for more than seventy years. He passed away on November 9, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Henry Freeman, Sr., and Mrs. Cleo Hudson Freeman, by one brother, Wilbur Hurst, and by one grandson, Lorenzo Freeman.
Mr. Freeman will be placed in the church one hour prior to service.
The family is receiving friends at 313 Cemetery Road, Dexter.
