he was preceded by a brother Bud Rodgers.

he was a Baptist minister, at one time served Blackwolf Baptist Church in Pageton, West Virginia. he served as the associate minister at Franklin Heights Baptist Church for nine years and taught Sunday school for 31 years. he was known as a “Minister’s friend”. for many years, he was always willing to fill in at any church for any minister when they needed someone. he was also a member of the Gideons and had served in the U.S. navy. recently, he was a member of the Brook Church. he had also worked for mason’s motors as an auto body rebuilder.
