Curtis “Bud” Moody, 77, of Irwin County, Georgia, died February 28, 2016, at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.

Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Turner County, Georgia, with the Rev. Steve Freeman and the Rev. David Barton officiating. Carlton Stringer will give the eulogy.

Mr. Moody was born November 27, 1938, in Rebecca, Georgia, to the late Seaborn Lee & Annie Pauline Coleman Moody. He was a former cutter at H.R. Kaminsky & Sons and worked with Ed Parrish at Southland Upholstery recovering furniture. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, mowing grass, gardening, and tending fruit trees. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children and their spouses: Ronnie Moody, Robin & William Hudson, Billy Joe Moody & Carla, Raymond “Lee” Moody, Tim & Melissa Moody and Carlos Jr. Moody, all of Ocilla, and Dwayne & Tammy Moody of Thomasville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Reba Whitley, Ann Sanders, Sudie Musselwhite, and Sylvia Wiley, all of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Carolyn Byrd Moody, a brother, Richard Moody and sisters: Velma Mitchell, Bernice Black, and Bennie Ruth Wright.
